Students get an introduction to simple machines such as levers, inclined planes, pulleys, etc. and complete engineering challenges and projects using LEGOs to apply these engineering concepts.

Students deepen their mastery of simple machines through building motorized mechanisms and projects they build in teams.

Students learn about electrical engineering and electronics using littleBits®. They learn electrical engineering concepts and create electronic prototypes and inventions.

Students hone their mastery of electrical engineering and electronics using littleBits® to create more sophisticated projects.

Students get introduced to robotics with LEGO EV3 Mindstorm. They will learn building and engineering techniques and will get introduced to basic programming to complete small challenges.

Students continue to work with LEGO EV3 Mindstorms, learning various applications of robotics and deepening their understanding and mastery of programming, use of sensors such as touch, color, infrared and gyro.

Using LEGO EV3 Mindstorms, students work with advanced programming skills, where they program their robot to perform multiple functions and solve advanced challenges using all sensors and motors.

In the second part of this advanced robotics automation course students dive deeper into building and programming and combining different technologies to solve and create various engineering challenges.

Students will learn Arduino, an open-source hardware and software that consists of programmable circuit boards (microcontrollers) to design and prototype digital devices and electronic projects.
